Computer Teacher

As a child most of us have been taught to respect our teachers. And all of us should do it too. But few teachers I have seen for real who were really mean, exploited children for their personal benefits like money and few more things.

Teaching is no doubt a respectable profession but that does not mean that the people who are involved will be good as a human being.

I guess when people grow up and start doing jobs most of the them remember at least some of their teachers either in a good aspect or bad aspect.

It was the month of April, I was late by 10 days to join school as I just came from my native. I was promoted to the second standard from first. I was in a school in Itangar, Arunachal Pradesh, India.

There was a surprise test that day. That too of the computer. Computer was almost new to Indian schools then. I missed my classes for almost a week. So, I didn’t have much idea about the usage.

So the test was really simple. It was just to type your name in the keyboard so it could be displayed on monitor. A really simple one. I was confident that I would do it easily.

Students passed by and then came my turn. I had difficulty searching the first alphabet of my name. Why??? It was a fu*Β£#@g ‘QWERTY’ board. I didn’t knew the concept of the alignment of a keyboard that it was randomly arranged at a specific manner. And I took more seconds to find the alphabet ‘S’. As I thought the sequence would be like A,B,C,D…..and so on.

All of a sudden my teacher got angry. He was in his mid 20s I guess. Tall with mustache. I do not remember his name though. May be it started from an ‘A’ or whatever.

He took a thin stick made up of iron. And all of a sudden he started hitting me at my Calf muscles. He hit me for 3-4 minutes I guess. It was painful but I didn’t cried one single drop. May be I was a freedom fighter in my previous lifeπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.I was about to but I didn’t. I always had a lot of self control and patience back then.

When I went back home I saw 3-4 thin lines at my Calf area. It was kind of visible. Exactly I don’t remember maybe it was my sister or my aunt “Mita pishi” who asked what happened to your legs and I exactly said it happened because of the room heater. Which had the covering with almost exact distance of the lines at my Calf area. It was the first lie……of my life. May be I was ashamed of my failure then. As I wasn’t able to perform such a simple test. After a long time I told them. They said I said have said about that.

Sometimes I think I should have complained about that. At least he would have been suspended from the school. Some teachers should have consience that students are not puppets at whom they would take out their mental frustrations. By badly hitting them. It’s not like I have never got any beating during my childhood but this was different. Teachers are the people who inspire children to become successful by their thoughts and teaching. And sometimes slight beating is ok.

Some memories gets imprinted on your mind just like the beating marks .

It would have been a great lesson if instead of hitting me “he would have taught me it’s fine and said I will teach you. Hardly it would have taken 2 minutes of his precious time”.

The Third Gender

Never saw them in a schools uniform, never saw them in any family gatherings, never saw them in a doctor’s uniform, never saw them in a police uniform, never saw them as a teacher. Never ever saw them in any respectable place. Why??

The first time I saw them was on TV begging for money from people trains and clapping and taking money from homes where a child in newly born. And the first time I really saw them was on a train begging for money. What alternative they would have when their own parents left them?

I have seen children mocking school boys who had slightly feminine facial attributes. How would these type of kids would treat the third gender? I don’t think they would treat very well until these things are tought by their parents, schools and other elderly people to respect everyone as a person not as a gender.

In present day India many people are accepting their child if it’s of third gender unlike the past. But the situation isn’t that great for them.

Untill and unless they are given equal stature in society, they can never be uplifted. And by equal status , they should be seen by common people working in hospitals as doctors or nurses, as a police officer, as a scientist, as an software engineer and many more.

The day you find them sitting besides you in a cubicle or as a flight co- passenger or as an attendant. You would know they have really been uplifted in a true sense.

The day parents giving birth to a third gender do not sacrifice them out of shame. You would know that the third gender had really been uplifted.

According to news sources, university for transgender will be opening soon in Uttar Pradesh,India. That’s a great step ahead. Similarly, I hope someday they can study in same schools or universities with males and females without any embarrassment.

One of the fundamental rights for us is “Right to Equality”. Hope they would get equal opportunities one day and there would be no discrimination from any person anywhere.

Stranger Things on Internet

Few minutes ago I was just scrolling my Facebook account. After scrolling for few seconds I see advertisement of an online delivery site with multiple products. I never had imagined that these type of products or things actually existed for real:

1] Nail Painter Machine: How much time would you save using this ? 5 seconds , 10 seconds or 15 seconds. Who would have imagined that people from the 21st Century will be applying nail paints with the help of some strange machine. Frankly speaking I would say I am one of the laziest person around the world. But still I won’t go for this. Imagine when you get old and say to your grand kids that you had a nail painting machine. How rediculous one would sound??πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

2] Artificial Fingers:

Something is really wrong with this world. Artificial fingersπŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„??? Why?? Why would I buy some plastic human fingers ? It sounds so creepy 😱 and disgusting at the same time. I would really like to know the purpose of these kind of things. Just wondering, that who makes these type of stuffs and why?????

3] Chicken Feet: I have been eating chicken ever since I was born but the thing I saw today on internet almost made me puke. Packed chicken feets. Never knew that it was a real thing and people eat it.(**no offense)

4] Metal knuckles: Untill and unless someone is a thug. I don’t think people require it. May be for self defence…..yes! But how would someone act so fast in case of a sudden attack. I don’t think the victim will have much time to wear those so called ‘self defence knuckles’.

#say no to violence lol

Will keep you updated if I see more such things again.

My Friend Destroyed my Barbie dolls πŸ˜πŸ˜

Man I was furious……I was angry……..I was frustrated…….I was devastated….I was Sad……. every emotions dancing over my head at the same time. I was 11 years old then. Angry as a kid, but I never expressed it. Today I am going to write all of them down because things meant a lot for me then. The incident happened in Shillong, India.

I had a friend let’s call her ‘Sun’. We used to play almost every day. She would come to my home or I would go to hers. She used to live at the ground floor with her parents and grandmom. All of them were really nice people.

One day she asked me to give my Barbie dolls and she wanted to play with them. Me being a generous girl gave her 3-4 Barbie dolls. All were expensive ones which were gifted to me on my previous birthdays by my other friends back in Itangar, Arunachal Pradesh. And those were pretty much close to me. Even as a child I always handled all my toys with care and they were almost new even after being played.

Exactly after two to three days later she comes back to return my dolls.

What next I see was utter disappointment. I was almost about to cry but I controlled myself that day.The hairs of the dolls were burnt and looked really rough. The neck was broken. It was looking like “she was playing some criminal saas- bahu (mother in law- daughter in law) drams with them and all the dolls looked like they died in a fire out of suffocation”.

I did not say anything to her. I just felt I never took any of her toys and she took mine to do this blunder. I really don’t know if she broke the toys out of jealousy or if she was really playing.

And the greatest thing was “she didn’t even apoloziged”.

Moral of the Story: Jada ache mat bano Duniya ma@##:@’Β£d thi, ma@##:@’Β£d hai aur ma@##:@’Β£d he rahegi”. Translated as “Don’t try to be too good to people, people in this world were mo@__@-+Β£_@@s, are mo@__@-+Β£_@@s and will be mo@__@-+Β£_@@s”. Said by a famous youtuber in India.

Beyond our Reach….

Ever wondered why the Solar system and the structure of Atoms look so much similar. The electrons are like the planets of the solar system which are held to the centre of the system i.e nucleus with electrostatic forces of attraction and in case of solar system the Sun with the gravitational pull.

Why does our brain have electrical impulses for transferring information from one neuron dendrites to another and if there is a damage in any single of it the whole system fails? Isn’t it similar to a computer network that if one of the nodes fail the transfer of information gets stopped.

Despite so much chaos on Earth, if you try to look at the sky there is always clam. I mean that ‘not exactly’ as comets and meteors are all surrounding us. But rarely it happens that they might hit us. Its just us creating the chaos or the fear of something which is not even going to affect us. Just like a spider web, which is home for the spider but chaos for a fly.

Greatest part is be it the smallest particles or huge systems, all follow the same law with out breaking it. And we as human being could never perfect the architecture of nature.

Rainbow

Fill your life with colours like of a rainbow…… Like in a dark room there’s always a window …… After it rains there is always a rainbow….. No matter how tough the life gets, always remember happiness will proceed with colours like of a rainbow. Play with those colours like it might be a temporary phase…. Take every colour to construct your life Violet for a vibrant life…Indigo to give wings to your imaginations….. Blue to Build the best in you….yellow to make yourself optimistic in life…. Red for the Relationships you deserve. If you are sad, fill yourselves with colours of a rainbow….. because after every tear there will be rainbow just like it is after every rain. Open the window to see the rain stop… Open the window to see the rainbow that God has sent for you.

The Unknowns Who Fought for Us…..

All my life I have known many names not because I had many friends but because all my friends colonies were named after some or the other individual. I used to think these people were some random politician who had his/her name written in some random public place.

One day I just asked my father why colonies are named after politicians? He said that most of them were not politicians and every independence day our Indian flag is hoisted in a structure Infront of most of the colonies and the revolutionaries name is written there in the structure. He was one of the youngest freedom fighters of India. He was a school teacher and executed at an early age when he revolted against the British. He added “didn’t you ever noticed it?”. Actually it was written in Bengali script and I wasn’t much aware of what was written there and why it was written there and I forgot about all my questions.

One of the matter of concern is that in our History books we just get to know about few of the freedom fighters. I never knew many of them because I was in CBSE board and may be the students in state boards knew better about the state History.

But History is History right, one should be aware of everyone. Else half truth is equal to lie. We as Indians should know who died for us,where they died for us and how they died for us?

Is it true that we got independence through just by the word ‘ahimsa’ or the sweat, blood and tears of thousands who were unnamed and got no credit and not many are aware of them outside of their particular state.

It’s high time to recognise them in our national level exam boards books else a time will come that our future generations will never know who fought for them so they could live freely and independently. As they happily sacrificed for us their everything including their lives.

House Near A Graveyard

I saw a dream when I was in third standard. I woke up in my dream and went to the dinning hall to fetch a glass of water. What I see is ghosts. I mean 2-3 were there with long messy hairs, red eyes and grey skin some sort of Ghosts in a B-Grade movie. I got really scared and woke up at that instant. It’s been almost 18 years but I remember every specific details.

After sometime my father got transferred from Itangar (Arunachal Pradesh) to Shillong (Meghalaya), India. As he was promoted for his work. Our whole family shifted to Shillong after few days.

My mother’s sister arranged a rented house for us as the government quaters were not very much upto the mark to stay. It was a good beautiful house. But the strange thing was that there was a graveyard near the gate of our house. It was on the other side of the road in a slightly hilly area with stairs going upwards and there was separation. At the left the graveyard was for Muslims, at the right it was for Christians and behind that there was a cremation section for Hindus.

From our balcony, the Church was visible named after St. Jones. I remember the bells at 6 am at the morning. And nearby there was a mosque and a shiv temple. Although those were not visible from our home but was at a walkable distance.

Picture taken from our balcony

I remember how my cousin’s made me scared πŸ˜‚. They were like ” now you stay nearby a graveyard and from the ‘peepholes’ of your door the graves of father and son was visible.(I do not remember their names now but I just remember that both their names started from ‘I’ ) and when you will open the tap there will be blood instead of water and all that bullshit” . To be frank I was a little scared but I shared room with my sister so it wasn’t much scary later.

One of the bathroom door latch from the outside was little losse and there was high intensity air blowing almost every day. As the area was full of ‘Pine’ trees you would hear the specific sound made by wind similar to a haunted movie and the door would start banging as it was loose. As a child it was little scary at first but I got used to it without much problem.

I more thing, there was a photograph of a model with boy cut hairs I guess it was one of free posters given with Garnier colour. My sister many times told me that the girl will come out of the poster. One fine day I was like remove the poster else I won’t take bath. And I cried about 4-5 minutes. My sister removed the picture thenπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Apart from that there was no fear for any of us or our neighbors living at that locality. It was just a mindgame played by movies and serials to scare us. Or one more thing could be as there was Gods house nearby we never got scared. Kids used to play cricket at that particular location almost every day after college or school time. And frankly speaking it was one of the most beautiful location I have ever stayed.
