Something wrong with humans

Is humanity dead??? No!! Is the answer I want to say. But when you hear incidents which make you disturbed, sad and angry at the same time. It will be true to say that some of the humans are not human anymore.

When I was a kid I wanted to ride on a elephant when we went to a family trip in Jaipur,India. But my father denied may be because it was risky or some other reason. I was little disappointed then but now I am happy that I never mounted on an elephant.

Cruelty on animals is not new. As humans we understand the food chain so let’s not go into the food and Ethics stuff. Cruelty for any animals is wrong. But this article mainly emphasizes at the atrocities on non farm animals.

Few days back there was a viral video on a social media site sparking controversy. Where some foolish people were seen hanging a cat. Just like how a criminal is being hanged till death. But this time the people who were hanging the cat were the real criminals. They were laughing while swinging the dead cat. What kind of people these are……are they mentally sick or something wrong with their upbringing or the friends they hang out with have such mentality.

There are multiple incidents where some morons tie crackers to the tail of a cat,dog and even monkeys. And burn it. What kind of Humans are these?? Are they really humans or some monsters who flaunt themselves as humans.

Just yesterday morning I saw a news article on a social media site where some so called humans made an elephant eat a pineapple full of explosives. She was pregnant and to save herself she went inside a water logged area to get some relief. The explosives were blasted on her mouth and she wasn’t able to eat anything. Two more elephants came for her rescue but she did not come out of the water. After few days she died.

Her post mortem images showed a featus inside her which was more disheartening to see.

It’s trending all over now. Justice for the Elephant but people have become so much greedy that for also personal benefits they have decreased the elephant population. For their tusks. Elephants are chained all their life and made to do work for humans. Decorated for Religious festivals to increase the beauty of the festivals. Keeping wild animals chained or in a zoo decreases their life span and make them mentally unstable and sad.

Elephants have great memory power. They do not forget things easily. And also help orphan ones at their herd. The other two elephants rescuing her were also in tears and emotional connection as one was try to poke his trunk to wake her up or to say the last good bye.

At last “we failed as a human being and keep on failing if these type of inhumane acts are done, we say we are responsible being but in reality we all know if there is no strict punishment for animal abuse, this will continue to happen every single day.”

# Justice for Jumbo. The below images are taken from internet and it shows a lot what words can’t express.

We failed you Lord Ganesh

Little she knew it was a grenade in form of a pineapple

Computer Teacher

As a child most of us have been taught to respect our teachers. And all of us should do it too. But few teachers I have seen for real who were really mean, exploited children for their personal benefits like money and few more things.

Teaching is no doubt a respectable profession but that does not mean that the people who are involved will be good as a human being.

I guess when people grow up and start doing jobs most of the them remember at least some of their teachers either in a good aspect or bad aspect.

It was the month of April, I was late by 10 days to join school as I just came from my native. I was promoted to the second standard from first. I was in a school in Itangar, Arunachal Pradesh, India.

There was a surprise test that day. That too of the computer. Computer was almost new to Indian schools then. I missed my classes for almost a week. So, I didn’t have much idea about the usage.

So the test was really simple. It was just to type your name in the keyboard so it could be displayed on monitor. A really simple one. I was confident that I would do it easily.

Students passed by and then came my turn. I had difficulty searching the first alphabet of my name. Why??? It was a fu*Β£#@g ‘QWERTY’ board. I didn’t knew the concept of the alignment of a keyboard that it was randomly arranged at a specific manner. And I took more seconds to find the alphabet ‘S’. As I thought the sequence would be like A,B,C,D…..and so on.

All of a sudden my teacher got angry. He was in his mid 20s I guess. Tall with mustache. I do not remember his name though. May be it started from an ‘A’ or whatever.

He took a thin stick made up of iron. And all of a sudden he started hitting me at my Calf muscles. He hit me for 3-4 minutes I guess. It was painful but I didn’t cried one single drop. May be I was a freedom fighter in my previous lifeπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.I was about to but I didn’t. I always had a lot of self control and patience back then.

When I went back home I saw 3-4 thin lines at my Calf area. It was kind of visible. Exactly I don’t remember maybe it was my sister or my aunt “Mita pishi” who asked what happened to your legs and I exactly said it happened because of the room heater. Which had the covering with almost exact distance of the lines at my Calf area. It was the first lie……of my life. May be I was ashamed of my failure then. As I wasn’t able to perform such a simple test. After a long time I told them. They said I said have said about that.

Sometimes I think I should have complained about that. At least he would have been suspended from the school. Some teachers should have consience that students are not puppets at whom they would take out their mental frustrations. By badly hitting them. It’s not like I have never got any beating during my childhood but this was different. Teachers are the people who inspire children to become successful by their thoughts and teaching. And sometimes slight beating is ok.

Some memories gets imprinted on your mind just like the beating marks .

It would have been a great lesson if instead of hitting me “he would have taught me it’s fine and said I will teach you. Hardly it would have taken 2 minutes of his precious time”.

Food and Ethics- “Everyone has the right to live, die with dignity “

Veganism, vegetarianism and non vegetarians are in constant conflict with each other. People mocking each other at lunch table is common nowadays πŸ˜‰. Everyone is there for you to justify why their food habits are best. As I ate chicken almost frequently few of my vegetarian friends were constantly explaining to me why being non vegetarian is cruel to the animals although when I gave a thought about it they were true as being caged can be very sad for the animals. We don’t know what they are going through…..

I never ate Cow due to my religious beliefs but I did mistakenly eaten pork dumpling once by mistakenly and to be frank it was one the tastiest meat I had eaten. But when I came to know that it wasn’t chicken but pork….I was full of guilt and remorse for 2-3 days because of my religious beliefs and nothing else. Being from a Bengali,Hindu family fish and chicken was very common in my diet. I tried being vegetarian many times but failed miserably…..as it is not easy to quit any food which we are used to.So now I have just reduced the intake of non veg food and my parents left meat and fish long back when he was diagnosed with minor cancer.

I don’t know about other countries but the way pigs are slaughtered in some parts of India is very inhumane and cruel. Hit them bad and insert rod from mouth to anal cavity. I don’t think anyone would to die such a gruesome death.

I am not against any domisticated food habit. But we do need to re evaluate the method of killing Right r farm animals so that they feel the least amount of pain and people eating them have less guilt.

According to me animals should not be kept in captivity like in cages….open farms should be promoted….and at the end have a less painful death before being served at anyone’s plate.
