My New Love for Zumbaa 😍😍

This lockdown season I discovered my new hobby for dance also renamed as Zumba.

As a child I was always active in sports like Badminton….as it was fun for me and also took care of my fitness. But when it came to dancing I was like an alien….u heard it right….as an introvert I had very few friends till third standard…..all my friends were seniors and neighbours….. when I think of it now I feel blessed as it’s not good to have friends who are bully by nature. They did not talked to me as I was not fast enough for the game called “pakdam pakdai” i.e, run and catch the opponent. Kids can be really harsh…..more than adults….I guess it’s more of a duty for Parents to teach wisdom to their kids.

Same happened with dancing…..my father got transferred in another town and our family shifted…along with time I started making few but good friends….that was a good thing for me. After few years I started gaining weight during my teenage …. frankly speaking I was distressed because all my friends were slim….its difficult to be the cute but fat at the same time.

Time passed by and after schooling l was preparing for competitive exams….that was a boon in disguise….as I was staying in a hostel which only provided vegetarian food with lots of oils…. surprisingly made me loose 10 kilograms…..so actually speaking not a boon at all as it made me look like a matchstick maybe it was the stress not the food I guess….while attending college my weight became normal….good food was provided to us by the Hostel authorities…and our hostel building had a lift which was under construction from last four years…so I had to navigate via stairs till 5th floor….4-5 times daily basis….so I did not require any exercise.

After I finished my college and joined office slowly I started gaining a lot to weight….I started playing badminton again with my colleagues for 2 weeks and all of a sudden due to coronavirus…. lockdown happened…..this is where I started doing Zumba while watching YouTube videos and playing songs in Spotify…and it was fun. I had attended Zumba classes before and it was really good but due to clashes with my office timings I left it.

Now, I dance like crazy at my home with my favourite dance songs daily, and sweat out all my toxins and unwanted fat away. One important thing I have learnt is that you should be ignorant of what others think of you…..just let go of everything…work hard…..dance…..love….eat and meditate.

At the end, self love is the greatest love.
